The Staff

Our Amazing Instructors

All our artists are dedicated to teaching your young artists in the best way possible.  They are enthusiastic, talented and ready to have fun!

StudioKids Art takes pride in working only with artists and teachers who share the same mission that we do:  that all those who pass through our doors are artists, are creative and should be treated with respect.

We carefully screen our potential employees and give them special training and support throughout their teaching tenure with us.

Suzanne O’Connor owner and creator of StudioKids Art is a former architect and now a full time artist. She is also the mother of two children, one big dog, a cat and has a husband in there too. In her art studio you will find her working on illustrations, comic strips, watercolors and oil paintings. She has been drawing as long as she can remember. Her teaching experience started in college where she was a student teacher in her architectural graphics class. She also has experience teaching younger children, Mommy and Me classes, as well as Middle School and High School kids. When she is not inventing new and exciting classes for StudioKids Art, she is looking for everyone she has ever known on Facebook.

        Haris Ahmad

Haris has his Masters in Fine Art and is one amazing artist.  A successful graphic designer and artist, when he is not teaching and drawing you can find him eating pickles in his search for the most garlicky one!

        Anton Campbell

Anton is one amazing illustrator and animator.  Someday he will be working for Pixar, but until then we are lucky enough to have him here.  And when he's not here- you can find him hunting for rare and exotic marsupials.

        Rick "Rickman" Celano

Better known as Rickman in the comic book world, Rick has taught at the Kubert School of Comic Book Art.  He is an expert at figure drawing and is a fantastic graphic designer.  You can find him every Wednesday night at Comic Explosion in Nutley catching up on the latest episodes of his favorite comics!

        Teresa DeFabrizio

Teresa is a professor at William Patterson College, Bergen County and has five degrees in various subjects, and presently working on her Masters in Art Therapy!!!  If you knew her you would know how someone could accomplish all this while still loving her job!  We are lucky to have her!
